Iraq Election

A new day is about to dawn in Iraq as election day begins. I listened on Friday afternoon as Hugh Hewitt interviewed those voting in the Iraq election in California. Those stories and feelings that were being expressed were very powerful, and they shed light on how important our work there has been. For months, we have heard how these elections will not be legitimate if the violence is not quelled throughout Iraq. I would remind all of those who seem to fixate on the legitimacy of elections here in the U.S. and abroad, that the people who want a peaceful and fair Iraq are the same brave men and women who will be at the polls on Sunday. May they stay safe and triumph as they take the first step in taking back their country from the terrorists, thugs and Saddam wannabes.

A Beginning

A year ago at a New Years Day party a friend blurted across the room that I should join his writing club. I said Bill I don't write for fun, and he insisted he was serious. I guess some guys will do any thing to get away from their wives for a couple of hours. Later in the car, my wife informed me that I write all the time, and I should join the club. I told my beautiful wife that if someone needed to be told what to do, how to do it, when to do it... Then I was quit a writer, but that did not make me very creative. Maybe someday I will invite Bill to join me for I hear he is quite creative, but for now I will start here and simply dedicate my efforts at this site to Bill.
